Today Malala Fund announced that Malala Yousafzai will become the organization’s second Board Chair. Yousafzai succeeds inaugural Board Chair, Susan McCaw.
“I joined the Board at Malala Fund’s founding and I’m proud that today the organization is working in eight countries around the world where girls face the greatest barriers to education,” said Susan McCaw. “I remain a committed supporter of Malala’s work and her vision to see every child in school in her lifetime.”
“I am grateful to Susan for her friendship, her service to Malala Fund and her steady, compassionate leadership over the last six years. We would not be the organization we are today without her,” said Malala Yousafzai. “I look forward to serving with her and our other current Board members as well as welcoming new members who can help us continue to build a leading organization that serves girls and young women."
